Generational Pattern Session

90–120 minutes, one-to-one with Rashi, or with a family member present.

  • The inherited pattern in one sentence: “Every time you face a decision about X, the fear inherited from Y fires before the decision is made.”
  • The three transmission channels, named: instruction (what was explicitly told), modelling (what was watched for years), and adaptation (what you did in response as a child).
  • The inheritance chain: who in the family line first ran this pattern, what it protected them from, and whether that environment still exists.
  • A transmission interrupt: a naming sentence you can say out loud, and a counter-pattern for the inherited trigger.
  • A written summary within 24 hours, with your 14-day test plan and evidence log format.
  • Follow-up: a check-in at day 7 and a review at day 14.

Parent-Child Pattern Alignment

Two sessions, both of you present, when the friction is the pattern.

  • Both sides on record: your reaction and your child’s reaction, named separately, neither one the villain.
  • The inherited pattern behind your reactions: which of your parents’ moves you are running, and where it was learned.
  • The cost of the current dynamic, for each of you, in plain words.
  • A written agreement: one sentence from each side on what changes at home.

How It Runs

From booking to the day-14 review. The deepest session type on the site, and the most structured.

1. BOOK & PAY

2. 48 HOURS BEFORE

Three questions to sit with: what your parents did with money, conflict, and failure; what you watched; and what you did in response.

3. THE 90–120 MINUTES

Map the inherited loop, trace it back through the family line, design the interrupt. Deeper investigations run to 120 minutes; the extra time goes to the root.

4. WITHIN 24 HOURS

Your written Generational Pattern Session Summary lands in your inbox: inheritance chain, transmission interrupt, 14-day test plan.

5. DAY 7

A short check-in. How is the interrupt running? One line is fine.

6. DAY 14

The review. You send a one-paragraph summary of what changed. If the interrupt didn’t hold, that’s data, and the design gets adjusted.

Inside the session

The first stretch maps the loop as it runs today: the trigger, what fires before your decision, the action, the relief it pays, and the cost. The middle stretch is the root, and it goes back generations: what was explicitly told (instruction), what was watched for years (modelling), and what you did in response (adaptation). The last stretch designs the interrupt: a sentence that names the inheritance out loud, and a small counter-pattern to run the next time the inherited trigger fires. The session closes by setting the 14-day test, with an evidence log and a witness.

The inherited pattern: every time S. faces a decision about security, the fear of smallness, inherited from a father who inherited it from his father, fires before the decision is made.

The three channels (abridged): instruction, “save first, family first, don’t air dirty laundry.” Modelling, money never discussed openly, conflict handled with silence, success celebrated quietly. Adaptation, the adult who over-plans every contingency and reads every room before entering it.

The inheritance chain: the original person, a grandfather who was small and decided his children would never be. What it protected him from: scarcity. Does the original environment still exist: no.

The transmission interrupt: “I push because I’m afraid of being small, because my father was afraid of being small, because his father was small. The fear is his. The choice is mine.”

The counter-pattern: when the security fear fires, ask: is this danger real, or is this inherited? If real, what is the evidence? If inherited, what would I choose if the fear weren’t here?

The 14-day test: an evidence log, one line per run. Pushback prediction: the fear will insist it is protecting you.

The practice behind the page

Generational work is led by Rashi Mathur, founder and principal investigator. She spent 17 years in Quality and root-cause investigation, leading global Quality and Training functions, building SOPs, and running Six Sigma projects as a Master Black Belt. Generational pattern work is root-cause analysis with a longer fuse: the defect was introduced a generation or two before you, and the investigation follows it forward through instruction, modelling, and adaptation.

The session structure, the report format, and the follow-up sequence are documented and repeatable. You’re buying a process, not an improvisation.

What this is, and what it isn’t

A Generational Pattern Session is not therapy, and it isn’t family counselling. Rashi doesn’t diagnose, treat, or counsel clinical conditions. This is also not an indictment of your parents: the fear you inherited was real to the person who passed it, and the investigation is aimed at the pattern, not the people. Because this work reaches into family history, it can surface grief and old anger; if the session points to something that needs clinical attention, Rashi will say so plainly and point you to a qualified professional. Nothing here guarantees an outcome either: you leave with a map and a 14-day test, and the testing is yours to run.
